Dwane Bosma began his career in the Foodservice Consulting Industry at H.G. Rice and Company, Inc. as a CAD Operator under the tutelage of Howard Gene Rice. After years of hard work, dedication and being mentored by Mr. Rice, Dwane became a full fledged Foodservice Consultant and was accepted as a Professional Member of Foodservice Consultant's Society International (FCSI). He was the youngest Professional Member to ever be inducted at the time.

After many years of working side by side, Dwane was approached by Gene and asked to take over  the company and continue his legacy if and when he should decide to retire. In 2001, Dwane, along with other partners, purchased H.G. Rice and Company, Inc. and continued to grow and expand the firm.

In 2005, Dwane left H.G. Rice and Company to create a firm all his own, Bosma Design Solutions, Inc.  Although it is a separate company and a different name, the invaluable lessons taught by Gene through the years about design and quality customer service still holds true at Bosma Design Solutions, Inc.

Sadly, in 2010, Mr. Rice passed away and although he is gone, he is not forgotten. Here we pay tribute to a pioneer of the Foodservice Consulting Industry and a man who was bigger than life itself. His legacy lives on through our work and through everyone in the Foodservice Industry whose lives he touched.
